Issues with private accommodation

If you are having problems with your landlord, or other issues with private accommodation, you have two routes open to you.

You can visit the Advice and Representation Centre at the Guild of Students.

Or you can contact the University's Accommodation Services.

Representatives from either service can advise you on issues ranging from disputes with your landlord to problems with repairs.

Issues with flatmates

The Counselling and Guidance service offers group mediation sessions if you and your flatmates are not getting on. They can also offer you one-to-one support if you are experiencing difficulties with your flatmates.

Or, if you would rather talk your problems through with a fellow student, talk to one of the Student Mentors.

The Student Mentor Scheme provides advice and guidance to all students living in university accommodation. The scheme can help with a variety of issues including shared living and accommodation.
