Finding out if you have dyslexia

Think you might have dyslexia or another learning difficulty? The Learning Support Service offers a screening service to establish whether you have a learning difficulty and what support might suit you.

Special exam and course arrangements

If you are diagnosed with dyslexia or another specific learning difficulty, such as dyspraxia or dyscalculia, the Learning Support Service will help you get the support you need to make the most of your studies.  This could include:

  • Extra time in examinations
  • Extended library loans
  • Letter to personal tutor and Welfare Tutor outlining other reasonable adjustments required
  • Use of a digital recorder
  • Specialist one to one tuition

If you feel this support might benefit you, the Learning Support Team should be your first port of call.
