Student loans and maintenance grants
The government provides financial support to help undergraduate students with their tuition fees and maintenance costs.
Birmingham Grant and Scholarship
Additional awards offered by the University to support students from low-income backgrounds and reward academic excellence.
Funding for parents, carers and disabled students
Support for the additional costs of studying while supporting dependants or managing a disability
NHS funding
Support from the NHS for those studying on a degree course for a health care profession.
Scholarships and bursaries
A number of bursaries and scholarships are available depending on your choice of course, income background and academic performance.
Access to Learning Fund (ALF)
The Access to Learning Fund is available to home undergraduate students who have taken up all statutory support available to them but are experiencing financial hardship.
