Students registered on the PSA (Activity)
You must 'bank' your PSA points each year (in February). To claim your points for this year you will need to:
- Access the online Points Declaration Form, which can be find on the PSA WebCT section (please note, points claim forms are only made available from early December onwards, in order to ensure you have been able to meet the minimum criteria for each activity). The guidance on how to complete this form is available in WebCT.
- For any activities that require an additional form to be submitted (such as External Work and Voluntary Experience) please ensure that you have completed the relevant documentation and attached it with your Points Declaration Form. The activities that require additional forms are listed on this page.
- Please ensure that you submit your Points Declaration Form and any additional documentation to the PSA team (via online submission for the form) or by hand to the Careers and Employability Centre Reception (above Barclays Bank) by the deadline in the Spring term (Friday 3rd February 2012).
- If you are looking to complete the PSA (Activity) this year, please follow the instructions for students intending to complete the PSA (Activity) this year.

Students registered on the PSA (Modular)
If you are registered on the PSA (Modular) but would like to aim for the PSA (Advanced), you will need to earn 100 PSA points in addition to successfully completing three PSA modules.
Each year, you will need to:
- 'Bank' your PSA points, by accessing and completing the Points Declaration Form (viewable from the PSA WebCT section from early December onwards) and any additional forms required for the activities listed on this page
- Submit these forms to the PSA team by the deadline in the Spring term (Friday 3rd February 2012).
- Your points will be 'banked' for you to add to next year
If you intend to apply for the PSA (Advanced) this year you will need to:
- Ensure that you have completed the required criteria for the PSA (Advanced), including attending a minimum of two Employer-led workshops
- Download and complete the Points Declaration Form from the PSA WebCT section, attaching any additional forms (as required)
- To prove your attendance at two employer-led workshops, you will need to download, complete and submit a CEC Workshop Verification Form for each workshop.
- Download and complete the PSA (Advanced) Application Form from the PSA WebCT section and submit to the PSA team by Spring term deadline (Date to be confirmed).
- If your application is rejected you will receive one further opportunity to re-submit
- If your application is successful you will be invited to attend a panel interview in March. You will be informed of this by telephone.
- If you are successful at the interview stage, you will be awarded the PSA (Advanced). You will only have one opportunity to successfully complete the panel interview stage.

Instructions for students intending to complete the PSA (Activity) this year
For students intending to complete the PSA (Activity) this year, you will need to:
- Complete the Points Declaration Form from the PSA WebCT section (from December onwards) attaching any additional forms (as required)
- Ensure that you have completed the required criteria for the PSA (Activity)
- Download and complete the PSA (Activity) Completion Form from the PSA WebCT section
- Submit all documentation to the Careers and Employability Centre Reception in your yellow PSA folder (given to you in the Employability Workshop) by the Spring term deadline (Friday 3rd February 2012)

For students aiming to complete the PSA (Advanced) this year, you will need to:
- Complete the Points Declaration Form.
- Ensure that you have completed the required criteria for the PSA (Advanced)

Claiming points for External Work and Voluntary Experience
To claim your points for external activities you will need to:
- Download and complete Form F1 - Work/Voluntary Experience from the PSA WebCT section (for involvement in external activities that took place after 4 February 2011)
- Complete a separate form for every external activity that you are claiming points for.
- Ensure that your line manager or supervisor has signed your form (and included a contact address) to authorise your hours. We will not accept forms without a signature or contact address.
- Indicate on your Points Declaration Form the number of points that you are claiming for external activities.
- Submit all documentation with your Points Declaration Form to the PSA team by the Spring term deadline (date to be confirmed at the beginning of the Autumn term)

Claiming points for Guild Voluntary Projects
To claim points for involvement in a Guild student-led voluntary project, you will need to:
- Download and complete Form F1.3 - Guild Voluntary Project Claim Form (from the PSA WebCT section) for each project that you have been involved in.
- Ensure that your form has been signed by both your Project coordinator and a Guild Student Development staff member (who will authorise the number of hours you are claiming for by cross-referencing them with your Student Development time sheet).
- Indicate on your Points Declaration Form the number of points you are claiming for Guild Voluntary Projects
- Submit your Guild Voluntary Project forms with your Points Declaration Form to the PSA team by the Spring term deadline (Friday 3rd February 2012).
Please note: If you are a Project coordinator or Project vice-coordinator for a Guild Voluntary Project, you can claim a set number of points for these roles. Please indicate this on your Points Declaration Form (Activity codes GOS007 or G0S008); please do not claim points according to the number of hours you have completed.

Claiming points for Departmental activities
If you are claiming points for Departmental activities, please follow the instructions below:
- To claim points for being a Departmental Ambassador, please download and complete Form F2.1 - Departmental Student Ambassador Claim Form (from the PSA WebCT section); please ensure that the student ambassador coordinator from your school, department or college has signed the form.
- To claim points for being a member of a Departmental Student Group Committee, please download and complete Form F2.2 - Departmental Student Group Committee Claim Form (from the PSA WebCT section); please ensure that the relevant member of staff from your department has signed the form.
- Please submit the relevant forms to the PSA team by the Spring term deadline (Friday 3rd February 2012) with your Points Declaration Form. Please also indicate on your Points Declaration Form that you are claiming points for the above activities by ticking the relevant boxes.

Claiming points for CEC workshops
To claim points for attending a Careers and Employability Centre workshop you will need to:
- Download a CEC Workshop Verification Form from the PSA WebCT section
- Take this form to the CEC workshop when you attend it
- Ensure that the workshop leader signs your form
- Submit to the PSA team by the Spring term deadline (date to be confirmed) with your Points Declaration Form; additionally, please indicate on your Points Declaration Form the CEC workshops that you are claiming points for by ticking the relevant boxes.
