Our high quality learning environments are supported by an assortment of enabling technology, to facilitate the learning process and to support our teaching staff.
As new technology is brought to market, the Learning Spaces division aims to assess the value of this technology and add it to the institutions teaching rooms to enhance the student and staff experience.
With the continual refurbishment of rooms across campus, new control systems have been introduced that make managing the technology even easier. For example, Muirhead Tower has a number of rooms containing group study areas with their own workstation and display. The switching technology will enable any of the stations content to be display on the main screen or on all screens, all through a single touch panel control. This will enable lecturers to explore enquiry based learning, with the ability to bring together group work for presentations at the end of the session.
The Teaching Accommodation Management Unit (TAMU) is our one stop shop for all issues relating to space. The helpline (43322) is there to provide immediate response to problems or issues, and offer advice and support in the use of the equipment within the rooms.
