Information about University student ID cards.

New students - how to get your ID card

Before your ID card can be produced, you must complete your online registration in the Student Portal.

How you get your ID card will depend largely upon when your course begins and what type of student you are. You may need to request that yours is prepared.

Replacement ID cards

You should let us know as soon as you realise that your ID card is missing.

Replacement cards cost £10.00 and can be obtained by visiting the Enquiry Services Counter in Aston Webb building. However, there are instances when we can replace your ID card free of charge, if for example your card was stolen and you can provide a crime reference number. Please see the links below for full details:

  • Lost ID card
    If you cannot find your ID card and need to order a replacement.

  • Stolen ID card
    If your card has been stolen and you have a crime reference number.

  • Expired ID card
    If the information on your ID card is incorrect or out of date.

  • Damaged ID card
    If you ID card has been subject to accidental damage.
