Teaching is at once an intensively individual and an intensely collaborative activity. This University seeks to recognise the excellent work that is done by the staff who teach in our lecture theatres and seminar rooms, and also by the learning support staff who work behind the scenes.
The scheme aims not only to reward individual staff, but also to raise the profile of learning and teaching activity in the Colleges, Schools, Corporate Services and the University through the publicity associated with the nominations and award-giving process.
Up to two individuals every year will be awarded £5,000 each for personal, professional and pedagogic development in teaching and learning.
