Birmingham Business School
The destinations shown are for Accounting & Finance and Commerce / Business Management graduates. Graduates in these subjects develop skills such as numeracy, analytical and problem solving, oral and written communication and business awareness.
A high proportion of graduates from these courses tend to go directly into employment. In 2010, our Commerce graduates entered a wide range of occupational sectors including; finance, retail, marketing and human resources. Accounting & Finance graduates, in most cases, entered roles related to their degree such as trainee accountant roles in professional practice, industry and the public sector, tax consultancy and banking.
Although the majority of Business School undergraduates go on to roles in business, some have moved into other areas such as law. Others use entrepreneurial skills developed to start their own business. In addition to those studying for professional qualifications, such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA, a smaller number go on to study masters degrees in business or finance related subjects.
