The DLHE survey is conducted 6 months after graduation.
Drama and theatre arts graduates develop a very wide range of skills and qualities during their degree. The performance element of the course particularly develops communication, team working and confidence, whilst other course modules develop time management, critical and analytical skills. For those that have entered employment (64% including work and study), graduates are using these transferable skills in a wide variety of occupations ranging from media sales and management to events and arts administration. In common with humanities students in general, a significant percentage of the 2006/7 cohort (30% including work and study) have gone into further study and are pursuing vocational courses including acting, journalism and PGCE courses.
