The DLHE survey is conducted 6 months after graduation.
Students studying this type of course develop a range of skills including the ability to lead and participate in discussions, an awareness of different, interpretations of issues and events, the ability to formulate and solve problems, develop opinions and new ideas, and think and working creatively with others. Such skills can be used in a variety of occupations. From the 2006/7 cohort, 65% of students have entered employment and are using the transferable skills developed by studying their degree for a wide variety of occupations ranging from graduate level positions in advertising and marketing to entry level jobs in the media (a common route of entry into the sector). 18% of graduates have gone into further study; some have chosen to pursue vocational courses in order to convert to a particular career and others are pursuing courses related to their degree.
