Academic Services strives to be at the heart of institutional endeavour. That endeavour centres on education and research and we see ourselves as informing, influencing and delivering for these activities in support of Birmingham’s global ambitions.


Academic Services business planning

Academic Services supports five thematic areas of activity:

  • Education
  • Research and Knowledge Transfer
  • Service Improvement

To support the University's global ambitions, Academic Services has identified 26 headline activities as 'transformational' to be delivered between 2010 and 2015, to ensure the professional services we offer are maintained.

Structure

Headed by Brendan Casey, the Director of Academic Services the Office's activities are organised into seven Divisions as follows:
