Student Employability deliver a wide spread of career development, enterprise and employability services and work collaboratively with a range of internal and external partnerships.
Careers service
The Careers and Employability service is offered to students to develop their future prospects, assisting with interview and application techniques, CV writing, establishing contacts with employers, finding work experience and job vacancies, and gaining essential skills in job-search and self-promotion.
Working alongside academics to develop college employability programmes to maximise the employability of students within disciplines, as well as providing a professional service to employers wanting to promote their opportunities to our students
Entrepreneurship and Innovation
The Entrepreneurship and Innovation team work with students and alumni to develop entrepreneurial skills and realize innovation potential and help students prepare for entrepreneurial careers through curricular and extra-curricular learning. As well as providing incubation support for new business or social enterprise, support academic staff to develop enterprise-related modules and programmes.
Personal Skills Award
The PSA team offer the University’s award winning employability programme, the Personal Skills Award (PSA) exclusively for undergraduate student. Endorsed by a range of employers the award gives students the opportunity to develop and articulate extra-curriculum skills to enhance their employability opportunities.
